At first it was raining, and I was very excited for it to be raining, because that usually means spring is finally here, but I just looked out the window at work and it's snowing! I am seriously tired of how long winter lasts here, and I am ready to move again, its so frustrating to have like 8 months of winter :(
I peeked at the scale today, and I am up from Saturday, but it is T.OM this week. It seems like no matter what I do I just keep gaining and losing the same 5 pounds. I'm stuck in the 153 - 158 weight range and I can't break it. I have started to add more cardio work outs, now I am up to 5 a week, plus I do 3 days of strength training and I have Yoga for 2 hours on Wednesday. I also started walking home and to the gym after work, which is a 35 minute brisk walk home and a 50 min brisk walk to work. This plateau has been haunting me since January, and it will be May this week!
The snow finally stopped, now its just raining, yay! Living in Alberta is fun, you really never know what type of weather you are going to have, because it changes so fast. It was weird living in a climate where the weather was pretty static. There where only 2 seasons, wet and dry season, and everyday it was sunny and 28-30 degrees. It was almost surreal, the weather report would be the same every day, no change for weeks.

My Very First Post..
This is my very first post on my very first blog..and Im kinda at a loss of what I should write, before setting up this blog I had so many Ideas of what I would put into a blog, and now that I finally have one, Im not really sure what I want to put in it. This blog is mainly going to focus on my weight loss journey. I am doing WW for the second time around and hopefully the last! I have never really had a weight issue until my third year of university, I joined WW at 169. I lost 35 pounds over 7 months and then figured that I could do it on my own, I did pretty well for the next 2 years, maintaining, and then I was in a car accident. Due to my injuries I was unable to exercise and I kind of just gave up, losing weight was the last thing on my mind. A few months later I moved overseas to Australia to live with my long-term boyfriend in Port Douglas. We lived blissfully in Australia, getting to live in the most beautiful tropical place, and taking a road trip all around the country in 3 months. After Australia, we went to New Zealand for 1.5 months, and rented a motor home to drive around both Islands.
When we returned home last July I realized that most of my clothes pre-trip do not fit, and then I stepped on a scale, and was shocked to see I was at 167. I thought that I would try something different this time around, I really didn't want to 'count points' and had heard about Herbal Magic from several people that had done it, so I decided to sign up. I lost 8 pounds the first month, and then the weight loss slowed in month 2 to 3 pounds, and stopped in month 3. Now I know that lots of people have had success on HM, but it just didn't seem to work well with my body. I didn't like taking over 12 pills before/after each meal. I also had to WI 3 days a week! and when I stopped losing they wanted me to come in every day, the commute was 2 hours after work, to get there and to go home by bus, and after 2 weeks of commuting that far, I was exhausted! and they just wanted more and more money, and would force me to by different pills, because that was the solution to my plateau, but nothing seem to work. I added up all the money I had spent in the 3 months I was with HM - $4,500! and when I decided to stop, they charged me an extra $500 - for stopping before my contract was up. I lost a total of 11 pounds. $5,000 for 11 pounds and lot of stress.
I decided that I need a break from my weight loss efforts and took a few weeks off, gained all of the weight that I lost back, when I started to eat foods that contained sodium. I 'rediscovered' Weight Watchers, and decided to give it a try, and so far so good!
My goals for this blog is keep me accountable, I will post my meal plans for the day and also my excersise.
